USS Hornet Halloween 5k is a pre-halloween evening run in Alameda benefiting the USS Hornet Museum, starting at 6:30pm, with headlamps recommended and lights on the course. Costumes are highly recommended and encouraged. The flat and fast 5k loops around Alameda Point from the Pier, with views of San Francisco, spirit alley, and the estuary shoreline, plus a beer garden, food, music, and age group awards. Packet pick-up runs at Lauren's Closet on October 28th and 29th from 10:00am to 5:00pm, the 5K run starts at 6:30pm, and awards follow at 7:15pm.
